Race 1: Clean Jean is returning from one of her many breaks...she likes to win and the morning line odds isn't a concern for me against this bunch. Before You Know It will take all the money based on the company she has kept..she will be tough but too short a price for the top spot. Lady Luciano is another that figures to take money and along with Before You Know It will be the ones to beat.
Race 2: This race offers good value with some hard knockers lining up..Donita's Ruler went well last year and came back to crush foes in first start of the year..could get morning line based on the recency. Room For Me who along with Aix En Provence are the picks underneath the top choice. Both horses will be going wonderful late in the lane.
Race 3: I am going with Don Dulce in this spot..the old timer didn't win a race last year but came back to win first start of the year off a break..the reason was the company got softer and while there are some nice but not great runners in this short field, Dom Dulce is the play.
Race 4: Reckless Move is the price play in this spot...Franco hops aboard for the ride and this daughter of Pulpit will appreciate the stretch out from six furlongs...never been out of the money at Aqueduct and while the company maybe stiffer today I think she is worth a shot at a price. Resentment took a break since her last showing which was a winning effort...on that day she romped by six and prior to that had a respectable showing...probably the one to catch. Pebble Beach Baby is making second start of the year and I expect improvements from that effort...top jock climbs aboard.
Race 5: The pace will be hot and heavy.... Cho Time will be coming off the pace that is expected to be hot and heavy..month ago finished behind Big Guy Ian who is cool sprinter that I like..Jose Ortiz will be the pilot guiding this one around the oval. Dukati is expected to be part of that heavy pace and will stick around until this party comes to a conclusion...Put It Forward is a son of Put It Back who likes to finish in the lane when everyone is out of gas..the setup maybe perfect for this one.
Race 6: Here's Zealicious has been consistent since returning from short break..she loves the surface and has never been out of the money on inner track...will be tough. My Savannah Belle has had only four starts in life and been out of the play only once...had a miserable time of it last time out..draws the services of Irad Ortiz today and could be too strong in the lane. Main Entrance could hold the key to this race..she will be close to the pace and if pace is molasses will long gone when the galloping begins.
Race 7: This is a lovely betting race because some figure to take lots of money while others ignored at the windows. One that may get ignore is Piquant who is coming back in two weeks..the winning jock vacates but that doesn't faze me..I think the heavy level that this one has kept in the past will be enough for the repeat. Another expected to be ignored is Mckenzies Way..the gelding will not take much support because his last effort was at Penn National and we love to turn up our noses at some tracks...the trainer and jock combo is solid and worth more than just courtesy look. Joking is making second start of the year and while he got schooled by some of these in return effort, shouldn't be ignored..he has been working well and second start maybe right to get those old bones stretching and lengthening in the stretch.
Race 8: Cease will sit off the pace in this spot and wait for others to come back to him..first start of the year finished third..should improve and Manuel Franco reunites with the eight year old runner...Village Warrior will be the one to catch..last effort ran good second behind North Slope whom I loved that day. Carmouche is an underrated pilot who would've benefited from the first trip with this one...ReadThebyline will sit behind Village Warrior and pounce..the jock sticks and if the price is there play heavy.
Race 9: Doc Almon is going well right now and loves the inner surface at Aqueduct...finished strongly last out to win by nose and will sit a lovely trip once more...Praetereo was trounced in last start and the winning jock from that race hops aboard this one..previous two were nice wins and he will appreciate the cut below competition facing today. Doubledown Again is the class of the field based on company lines but company doesn't define you has a person or a horse..he was beaten nine lengths by Salutos Amigos and on that line will take all the money..can't give the top spot based on that.
Race 10: Fiesty Albert looks prime to run his race...last effort he had to steady then flattened out..two back won by three..kept some good company in past and top jock gets the leg up. Stallwalkin' Dude won last out..will be put on the lead by Velasquez and maybe able to hold off late comers. Tizmas could've easily been my top choice in here..love this one always tries plus today the money maybe right. Market Blaster...I won't leave this one off my ticket...he will sit off pace and make that rush for home..don't know if he is as good as others but will be there.
